Konami has revealed eFootball, the free-to-play game formerly known as PES, will launch (possibly, in a demo version) on PC and consoles on September 30th. The game will include nine playable clubs: Arsenal and Manchester United (UK), Bayern Munich (Germany), Barcelona (Spain), Juventus (Italy), River Plate (Argentina), Flamengo, Corinthians and Sao Paulo (Brazil). A handful of stadiums will also be added at launch too, such as Old Trafford. At first, the only mode available to play will be friendlies. Players will be able to compete in offline matches against AI or a friend, or versus people with the same system. PS4 players will be able to play against those using a PS5, and the same for Xbox One and Series X|S players, but cross-platform play beyond that will not be coming to eFootball until its autumn update.
For its part, EA Sports announced the upcoming PGA Tour game, with all three FedExCup Playoffs events and host courses, when it launches in 2022. The team also said this is the first-ever golfing title to incorporate ShotLink data, which will give each golfer a unique playstyle and true-to-life performance. The three host courses of the FedExCup Playoffs will be FedEx St. Jude Championship (TPC Southwind in Memphis, Tennessee), BMW Championship (Wilmington Country Club in Wilmington, Delaware) and TOUR Championship (East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta, Georgia). In order to compete in the FedExCup, players will need to earn FedExCup points through Career Mode. EA Sports’ PGA Tour will also feature a roster of female golfers, include all four of golf’s major championships, and is set to arrive in the spring of next year.
