Global delegates from land-based gambling and iGaming, as well as affiliates from the sector, will have to wait one more year to visit again ICE London (February, 1-3rd, 2022) and iGB Affiliate London (February, 3-5th, 2022) shows at ExCeL. At least, that’s what organizer Clarion Gaming announced today, after constant consultation with its customer base.
About this new reschedule, Stuart Hunter, Managing Director, Clarion Gaming, explained: “Our both brands (ICE London and iGB Affiliate London) have been successful because they have consistently worked with, and listened to, the needs of their respective customers. The soundings we’ve taken and the ongoing conversations we are having with exhibitors of all sizes across both events have shown continued and significant uncertainty about the year ahead. Exhibitors have expressed a desire to put the experiences of the last 12 months behind them. They prefer to focus their collective energy and creativity into making the 2022 editions memorable in-person celebrations.”
Providers, certifiers, distributors, manufacturers, operators, regulators and more participants of the industry approved this decision. They all believe that, given the current landscape of battle against Coronavirus, an event in winter 2022 would be the best option. It must be remembered that the last edition of ICE in UK (February 4-6th, 2020, before COVID spreading) was a huge success. It comprised 633 exhibitor brands from 67 nation countries (70+ first-time exhibitors), occupying 40 of the 44 halls at ExCeL London in 49,500 sqm of net space. There were over 35,000 attendees.
Regarding this year’s events for Clarion, the company confirmed an expanded and enhanced edition of iGB Live! fair, from September 28th to October 1st, 2021, at RAI Amsterdam, Netherlands.
In a balance of Clarion’s work and its bond and support to the industry during this season, Hunter noted: “We are totally focused on helping all sectors of the industry bounce back from what has been a horrendous year. ICE London and sister event iGB Affiliate London both stand shoulder to shoulder with their communities. The team is ready and primed to help our loyal stakeholders wherever they are and in any way possible. To best service its clients during the pandemic, Clarion has expanded its digital offerings and digital publishing portfolio. In the coming weeks, the company will be introducing a new integrated technology platform to serve the industry year-round, following nine months of development, market-testing and refinement. This will be launched alongside invitation-only executive summits to meet the continual market need to connect buyers with sellers. This live product offering will also be expanded at iGB Live! and iGB Affiliate Amsterdam. Everyone is excited to get the gaming community back together at a physical event and our autumn shows are well placed and on a safe timeline to do that.”
