Aristocrat Gaming was the big winner again this year in the 2020 Annual EKG Slot Awards. This third edition was produced by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming. It is designed to distinguish excellence in slot machine game development within the land-based casino gaming industry and interactive gaming sector. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, EKG did not host a live in-person event. Instead, EKG announced award winners earlier this week via social media.
With 9 awards, Aristocrat led the list of winners. The company obtained the following prizes: 1) Best Overall Supplier of Slot Content (repeated from 2019); 2) Most Improved Supplier – Premium; 3) Top Social Casino Company; 4) Top Performing Premium Game: Dragon Link Happy & Prosperous; 5) Top Performing Proprietary Branded Game: Dragon Link Happy & Prosperous; 6) Top Performing Core Video – Reel Game: Buffalo Gold Revolution; 7) Top Performing New Cabinet: Premium: MarsX; 8) Top Performing New Premium Game: Cash Express Luxury Line Buffalo, and 9) Top Performing New Video Reel Core Game: Buffalo Chief.
Recently released innovations from Aristocrat also won top awards. Further, legendary Aristocrat game innovator Scott Olive was inducted into the ‘Game Development Hall of Fame.’
Hector Fernandez, President at Aristocrat Americas, commented: “These awards independently verify that, at Aristocrat, we are innovation leaders. We have the best people making the best products, and we are grateful to the thousands of creative and dedicated Aristocrat team members worldwide who bring their passion for play to our customers. Besides, we have the most diverse and innovative portfolio, all designed to help our customers deliver the best, most entertaining gaming experiences to their players.”
The land-based category winners of the EKG Slot Awards were determined by official voting from over 100 qualified slot directors representing over 300 casinos across the U.S. and Canadian markets, and representing roughly 300,000 total slot machines. For the Social Casino and iGaming segments, winners were determined by voting from a distinguished panel of social casino industry experts.
