One of the most relevant Latin American sports gambling platforms, and the NFL’s official sponsor in the region, Betcris is finalizing details to offer all betting options in a new season of the League.
The NFL has made the decision to enhance its regular season from 16 to 17 games, for a total of 18 weeks, taking into account each team’s bye week. This marks the first change to the season structure since 1978 campaign, ushered in an era of 16 regular-season and four preseason games. Because of this enhancement, the NFL pre-season has also been affected and will go from four to three weeks of extension.
Thus, the new calendar shows NFL regular season kicking off on Thursday, September 9th with a late game. The season will end on Sunday, January 9th, 2022. Super Bowl LVI will be played on Sunday, February 13th, 2022 (it was originally scheduled for February 6th, 2022), at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
About this situation, Randall Aguilar, Head of Sponsorships, Betcris, underlined: “We’re very proud to be a part of this story. Betcris is an official sponsor of the NFL at a historic time, when the decision has been made to change the format of the League for the first time in more than four decades. As a consequence, there will be more games, emotions, records and chances to wager.”
The executive pondered this news and was enthusiastic about the possibilities that are generated from the new direction that the NFL has decided to take. Now, it’s our turn to adjust together with the League’s innovations to make sure that our Betcris customers and family also receive the benefits and feel the adrenaline of this extended season,” he concluded.
