Last Monday, October 4th, confirmed by a press release, veteran Daron Dorsey will effectively be the new AGEM’s Executive Director in March 1st, 2022 after former executive Director since 2008, Marcus Prater. Dorsey, as well as having served in the association as Vice President, Officer and General Counsel, also had served as General Counsel & Group Compliance Officerat Ainsworth Game Technology in Las Vegas.
After a remarkable trajectory as General Counsel for William Hill US and serving both 2 law firms Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. and Jolley Urga Wirth & Woodbury, he has been member of the State Bar of Nevada since 2001 andadmittedto practicebeforeState and Federal courts in Nevada,hand to handwith the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. About his academical path he was Alma mattered in University of Nevada Las Vegas, and is currently serving as Trustee for the Foundation,as well as Alumni Leadership Circle, Dean’s Advisory Council, Gaming Law Advisory Board and Law Fund for UNLV’s Law Fund for UNLV’s William S Boyd School of Law, with the honor to be namedAlumnus of the Year in 2017.
Current AGEM’s Executive Director, Marcus Prater, who has been on that role for 13 years, will leave the position to Marcus Dorsey next March. “Marcus devoted over a decade of service to AGEM, overseeing a period of exponential growth in membership, and our industry appreciates all that Marcus has done for us,” Dorsey said. “My hope is AGEM can further build on what it has already accomplished and continue to foster a business environment where its members prosper.”
