For next, very awaited ICE London gaming fair (April 11-14th, 2022) at ExCeL London, UK, organiser Clarion Gaming is generating different proposals for the thousands of executives from all over the world that will be attending this event to learn about new products, services and solutions displayed by over 600 companies of land-based gambling and iGaming.
Of course, once again, Latin America will have a special consideration, with a whole floor where lots of activities will take place. According to Stuart Hunter, Managing Director, Clarion Gaming: “Clarion has always been close and supportive of Latin America, The Caribbean and Brazil. On the past, we successfully organized several editions of our BgC and Juegos Miami events. Of course, we won’t stop our commitment to these regions, as part of our plan to keep on joining the whole gaming industry together. Our LatAm area on next ICE London will be a huge space with many surprises, a true meeting point for those who want to learn about this market and expand their businesses there.”
LATAM ROUNDTABLES AND NETWORKING EVENTS
In this sense, Clarion will offer different opportunities for executives traveling to London from Latin America. The Latin American Zone in the World Pavilion will be a dedicated space for those interested in LatAm. They will be able to relate with the main actors, entities and representatives from the entire region. Consistent with this strategy, on Tuesday, April 12th, from 2 to 5 PM, “Global Markets Masterclass” will occur on ICE’s arena, giving everyone the chance to connect with firms with special interest in LatAm. Regardless of the structured layout of masterclasses, the roundtables’ setup will allow the audience to suggest alternative topics related to this specific region. Up to 50 participants belonging to middle management to C-level will engage in valuable discussions. These roundtables will focus on Brazil, Argentina, and LatAm, with regulators from Brazil, Colombia, Mendoza, Buenos Aires and Costa Rica. Providers will contact regulators and operators, as well as network with leading organizations such as AIEJA, Asojuegos, Fecoljuegos, Cornazar, Apadela, Cibelae and IJL.
Brazilian speakers will gather at roundtable number three, where distinguished lawyer Luiz Felipe Maia, partner at FYMSA, will dialogue side by side with two members of the Ministry of Economy in Brazil: Waldir Marques and Itamar Pereira. After that, Tomas Enrique Garcia Botta, partner at MF Attorneys, and Ida Lopez, president of the IPJyC Mendoza (Mendoza’s Provincial Institute of Games and Casinos) will share a conversation about Argentina. Then, Corinne Valleta (General Counsel, Betsson Group) will be speaking with some of the most relevant G&M News’ experts and interviewees of LatAm, such as Esmeralda Britton (president of the JPS, Social Protection Board, Costa Rica), Miguel Angel Ochoa (president of AIEJA, a key Mexican Gaming Association) and Cesar Valencia Galiano (president of Coljuegos, the gaming regulator of Colombia). It is expected these masterclasses to offer a comprehensive guide to doing business in the region, from the operational, cultural and strategic factors that will impact market entry, to the regulatory and commercial developments needed in all business models.
LEARNING AND BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
The following day, Wednesday, April 13th, there will be, again, very interesting masterclasses, such as Vertical integration – How to successfully operate a full product portfolio (from 9:30 AM to 1:10 PM), with Adi Dhandhania (COO, North America Interactive, Ballys) analysing this issue. After that, at the LatAm Zone, people will be part of the ICE Hosted Meeting program, designed to help gaming industry decision makers discover the latest trends and products in the most efficient way. Buyers will be meeting providers to see more about the specific products they need. Then, from 2 to 5:30 PM, a dedicated Latin America Masterclass will be held to guide attendant executives with recommendations on best decisions for doing business in the region, from the operational, cultural and strategic factors that will affect market entry, to regulatory developments and necessary commercial tips. Organizations such as Betsson, La Tinka, Apuesta Total and Pay4Fun will comment on their experiences in LatAm, including a list of the do’s and don’ts.
Later that evening, at 5:30 PM, there will be the Latin American Networking Reception in the Latin American Zone at the World Pavilion, to enjoy a meal and conversations on a relaxing environment. Last but not least, a Latin America VIP Dinner -invitation only- will be taking place at London’s downtown.
Finally, on the last day of ICE London (Thursday, April 14th), Clarion will offer guided tours through the different areas and pavilions of the show floor, with commentary in Spanish and Portuguese.
