Year after year, G&M News keeps on excelling and extending its audience range, not only on its websites and newsletters, but also on its social networks. In this case, the company has beaten the number of 10,000 followers on LinkedIn, well above other media (even traditional ones) that covers information from the gaming sector on LatAm, Brazil and Spain.
When appeared in July 2019, G&M News surprised with its new style of industry coverage, with fresh and engaging information, in-depth interviews, markets’ reports, and attractive and original sections. This approach was completely different from the one was being used by traditional gaming media, which had been doing similar things for several years, with the same web design, a passive attitude and being mere providers’ PRs reproducers. G&M News changed that paradigm and focused mainly on gaming operators, achieving very good presence among readers in Latin America, the Caribbean, the United States and Europe.
The following year, by launching its site in Portuguese, the company became the first and only industry media in the world to generate new content in Spanish, English and Portuguese, covering not only Brazil, but also Portugal. To this was added its Events division, through exclusive boutique meetings, with many operators and a few providers, in comfortable, beautiful places, in order to favor business, networking and learning. The company currently holds events in Mexico (March), Spain (April), Peru (June: registration is open for operators; providers can define sponsorship until May 15th) and Argentina (September).
PEOPLE, MARKETS, PRODUCTS, NETWORKS
Another innovative aspect was G&M News’ dedication on the people of the industry, seeking a more humane approach to the business, and placing minorities as protagonists of the articles. The company supported the creation of AFEM (Association of Latin American Women in Gaming) and carried out several initiatives in pursuit of diversity, equity and inclusion in gaming.
Likewise, from the beginning, the platform closely followed new trends, anticipating gamification, with a great dedication to content about Esports, video games, virtual reality and other technological innovations, with an emphasis on both B2B and B2C segments.
At the same time, another central point was its hard work on social networks, with a strong presence in LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and Twitter. Until then, other gaming media in the sector in LatAm lacked on a comprehensive content dissemination strategy on social networks. G&M News was a pioneer in implementing specific content designed for networks, and led a trend that later became an example for other media to follow. This allowed the company to take a quick advantage in followers on social networks against media with more than 15 years of presence in the sector.
NUMBERS OF SUCCESS
Today, G&M News thanks the industry for confirming that leadership. With an average of 350 new monthly followers, a high rate of interaction on their articles and a total of 10,056 followers (all organic, coming from countries like Argentina, the United States, Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Spain, and a hundred more), the company only looks ahead, always searching for new partners, clients and friends who share its innovative vision, in favor of gambling industry progress.
