Launched in 2019, Gaming and Media News has since fulfilled the strategy defined in its First Five-Year Plan (2019-2024): changing the way the media had been covering the gaming industry in the last 20 years.
HISTORY
Without a doubt, it was an innovative, visionary and ambitious proposal, which today is highly appreciated by the sector. The focus was going to be on operators and promoting learning, with in-depth interviews, market reports, dedication to minorities and diversity, and strong work on social media. Added to this was the dissemination of content in different languages, serving ‘forgotten’ markets, such as Portugal.
Coverage then expanded to markets like LatAm, the Caribbean and Spain (Spanish), the United States, Canada and Europe (English), Brazil and Portugal (Portuguese). In parallel, given its intense presence on social networks, G&M News achieved continuous leadership among all the gaming media in Ibero-America on LinkedIn, the most used network by industry members, where it already has over 13,700 followers.
PRESENT
To celebrate its 5 years, G&M News renewed its websites and newsletters, with more agile structures, easier to read and navigate, and with more advertising spots, given the huge increase in the number of customers, and the constant demand for more and better positions for brands.
Likewise, the ‘My Casino’ section continues to have a positive impact, with news, anniversaries and projects from land-based and online gaming operators. This theme was added to other exclusive sections already approved by readers, such as ‘Experts of the Industry’, ‘Women of the Sector’, ‘Executive Hobby’ and ‘Five Marketing Keys.’
As if this B2B work were not enough, the multiplatform took on the challenge of closely traveling the path of B2C verticals, such as Esports, virtual reality, poker, fantasy sports, video games and the Metaverse, with interviews, reports and other high-quality materials. Added to this was the decision to teach and promote the affiliate programs established in LatAm by different companies. For this reason, the company launched the exclusive affiliate site CevicheNews.com for all of Latin America, which has shown impressive growth in the last 12 months.
FUTURE
This successful present of G&M News is also supported by the increase in its team of collaborators and the closing of more agreements with different firms, whether media (iGamingFuture), companies (Casino Magic Neuquen and HAMEvent), event organizers (Clarion Gaming, SiGMA, BiS) or entities (ALEA Argentina, APOJA Paraguay, Conajzar Paraguay, and IJAN Argentina), among many others.
The future is promising and will respond to the multiplatform Second Five-Year Plan (2025-2030), which aims to conquer more markets in LatAm, to stay advancing in the United States and Canada, to venture into Africa, to continue strengthening its staff, and to maintain its innovative, original and high-quality work philosophy.
In terms of sector meetings, the G&M Events division does not stop growing. This year, successful gatherings were already held in Portugal and Spain; G&M Events Peru is coming (June 10th at Baco y Vaca, Lima), and then there will be G&M Events Paraguay (July 11th at the Savoy Hotel, Encarnacion), G&M Events Argentina (September 4-5th at Casino Magic Neuquen, province of Neuquen), and G&M Events Mexico (October 23-24th at Codere’s Hipodromo de las Americas, in Mexico City).
