What are the current demands of online gaming operators and players in Europe? What is the situation in LatAm?
Regardless of the continent, demands of most operators and players are the same: variety of games, attractive odds, good bonuses and non-stop, 24/7 access to their favorite games. Responding to these requests, DS Virtual Gaming offers a strong catalog of games, from classics of the genre such as greyhound and horse racing, to exclusive products like karting and kickboxing. We also do not forget about casino lovers, by giving them bets on virtual roulette, whose uniqueness lies in the fact that the odds are completely the same as those of a land-based casino. Since we utilize pre-recorded videos of real events, instead of animation, we achieve a real presence effect that delivers a very satisfying end result for users. We know that nothing attracts punters more than high odds, so we stick to our math, which has already proven effective in many markets. Besides, we take full responsibility for jackpots’ payment.
Why is it so important to attend private meetings like the one held last week by G&M News in Peru, with operators and suppliers of the gaming industry, in which you participated?
Over the three years it has been on the market, we have developed the warmest and friendliest relationship with content multiplatform G&M News. We are delighted with the overflowing enthusiasm we found in your company and the desire to help operators, providers and regulators achieve common goals. With all of the above in mind, it was important to be able to participate in the G&M News dinner prior to PGS, because we met all the iconic operators of Peru in one place. Face-to-face communication is the most valuable experience that this type of event generously gives us. Operators and suppliers alike have had an amazing opportunity to meet new people in the industry, get to know each other personally, gather with old friends over delicious food and a glass of great wine, and share insights about our business. After the pandemic made us all sit at home, taking away the possibility of seeing each other physically, each encounter is a breath of fresh air for us.
What is your point of view on the LatAm market and what was your company’s strategy for the PGS fair? How are you working in other territories of this region?
I think it’s no secret that the Peruvian market is strategically important for all virtual game providers due to the development of gaming culture in bookmakers. Operators know for a fact that 60-65% of bets accepted in stores are on virtual games, and the majority on greyhound racing. This is not surprising, since our segment offers new rounds every 1, 2, 3 or 4 minutes, bets are calculated in a fraction of a second, and winnings are issued immediately after the announcement of the result. In addition, players can receive double and triple wins and ever-growing jackpots. Our strategy at PGS was pretty simple: we trust our games. Since we entered the Latin American market, we have proven to be reliable partners with a high quality product, which is why we propose to all new operators to try our games at their betting shops absolutely free for three months to make sure these are essential products to them. For online operators, we offer a completely new version of all our games in only one site. Players will now be able to switch between games simply and quickly, with web and mobile versions of their favorite games.
How relevant was for DS Virtual Gaming to receive recognition like the BSG Awards for “Rising Star in B2B Fantasy Sports/Virtual Sports”? How does this motivate the team to keep giving their best every day?
Without a doubt, it has been a great honor for us to receive such an award. It means that our colleagues in the industry recognize our work and achievements in the field of virtual game development. First of all, I am proud of our DS VG family, who set new goals every day and go straight ahead and tirelessly until they are achieved. You have to remember that game development is a laborious process that requires a lot of dedication, time and perseverance. For us, each game is a new test, because we can never be 100% sure that it will attract players and interest operators, who have already seen a lot in their professional career. Therefore, these types of awards are very important to us as people who really love their work.
It was evident that passion for virtual gaming was not just a pandemic trend. How do you imagine the future of the sector two years from now and how will your company prepare to anticipate this scenario and provide advanced solutions worldwide?
Many do not know that, at one time, I worked as an operator and also managed a B2C project, both online and in bookmakers. I can say with certainty that virtual games have always been very popular, before, during and after the pandemic. I think that our segment has a great future, since we can develop it in different directions: bring it closer to sports betting, to the casino segment and even to lottery. There are many virtual game providers in the industry and each of them has its own niche. We are all very different, and we offer diverse games and services. This year, we announced the launch of our new product: kickboxing, and we are already working on several other solutions. Our goal is to create original and engaging games that are unparalleled in the industry. We want to be different and surprising, and we strive to do so every day. So far, results indicate that we are on the right track.
