International gaming brand FBM has joined ‘PAGkain para sa masa’, a relevant project generated by the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) to distribute healthy food items until the end of this year among Philippine families affected by current situation. The FBM contribution includes a donation of 2,000 food packs to communities in the Metro Manila region.
This project has a similar dynamic to a food caravan. The initiative started on May 5th 2020, in Quezon City, and will continue its social mission until the end of 2021. The food items delivered in each stop have pre-determined beneficiaries to ensure that long queues are avoided and all the health and safety protocols are strictly applied.
Rui Francisco, founder, FBM, explained: “When we knew about the PAGCOR efforts to implement the food caravan of the ‘PAGkain para sa masa’ project, we immediately wanted to jump on board. We are a global gaming brand deeply committed with the communities where we operate. For us, this gesture of care with the people that gave and give us so much feels like the right thing to do in these difficult times.”
Besides the brand’s contribution to the project, part of the FBM team will join as voluntaries in the distribution of the health kits among the population. Each pack is composed mainly of canned food, which is directly sourced from farmers whose sources of livelihood are also affected by the lockdowns.
FBM has a 20 champion year legacy and has conquered the land-based casino market since 2001. With operations established in Asian, North American and European nations, the brand leads the video bingo market and is committed to reinventing the spin reels segment. FBM’s footprint in the online market has also grown during the last few years and counts now with FBM Digital Systems and a diverse portfolio, including online video bingos, slots and table games.
