Originally scheduled for October 5-8th as a face-to-face event at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Las Vegas, U.S., COVID-19 pandemic motivated the change of format of the fair for health security reasons.
The American Gaming Association (AGA) and Reed Exhibitions today released the schedule of virtual Global Gaming Expo (G2E) offerings (https://www.globalgamingexpo.com/). Taking place Oct. 27-28th, 2020, the program includes keynotes, education sessions, business meetings, and networking opportunities. The virtual platform will open for product discovery and schedule planning following a kick-off session on October 14th, 2020.
Global travel restrictions and unknowns around the permissibility of large public gatherings this fall precluded the traditional, in-person event from taking place as scheduled, on October 5-8th, 2020 at the Sands Expo & Convention Center, Las Vegas, U.S.
About the virtual conference, the two-day program will convene thought leaders to share perspectives on pressing topics, including COVID-19 recovery, payments modernization, tribal gaming, what’s next for legalized sports betting in America, and more. G2E’s virtual platform will also enable exhibitors and buyers to conduct business through virtual showrooms, product demos, AI-driven matchmaking, and one-on-one meetings.
Cait DeBaun, Senior Director of Strategic Communications and Responsibility, AGA, commented: “G2E always brings the gaming industry together to learn, share innovation, and conduct business that will chart the future of gaming. While we all wish we could be together in Las Vegas, we’re excited to bring some of the G2E experience to attendees and exhibitors all over the world.”
For her part, Korbi Carrison, G2E Event Director, indicated: “As the industry continues to navigate reopening, G2E’s virtual offering will reconvene the G2E community to advance our collective recovery. This platform allows us to bring the G2E experience directly to attendees wherever they are, providing access to education, and enabling the connections that make the in-person event special.”
In the coming weeks, more info on keynotes and education programming will be announced.
