Juan Manuel Padin, new Executive Secretary of Buenos Aires Province Lottery

Juan Manuel Padin was designated as Executive Secretary of Buenos Aires Province Lottery, IPLyC.

Buenos Aires Province (Argentina) Government announced the appointment of Juan Manuel Padin as Executive Secretary of IPLyC, the public Lottery of that huge province, which has a population of over 17 million people.

Padin is an expert in politics and economics with an extended academic career. He will play a strategic role in the Lottery as second of, until now, head of the organism, Carlos Bianco, who also serves as Head of Cabinet of the Governor Axel Kicillof. Kicillof’s plan is to have highly trusted lieutenants to carefully control the resources and income of the Lottery. This is because the state coffers of the Province are scarce, and all the money to be collected from the Lottery will be more than welcome. In that sense, the progress and confirmation of the seven online gaming tenders is expected in the coming months, an activity that will also give many tax dividends for the territory.

According to his resume, Padin was director of International Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of Economy and advisor to the International Affairs Directorate of the Federal Tax Administration. He also worked at the Ministry of Industry and the Ministry of Foreign Trade. He has a degree in Political Science (UBA) and a Master in Economics (FLACSO). At the same time, he has a Diploma in Local Development and Social Economy (FLACSO) and a Doctorate in Economic Development (Universidad Nacional de Quilmes).
