New executive designations at GeWeTe, GVC, SuzoHapp and Newgioco

In order to respond to their ambitious business development plans, important companies of the gaming industry are hiring experienced executives.

Cash handling specialist GeWeTe (Gauselmann Group subsidiary) has hired Rob Clarke as an Account Manager for the UK and Ireland sales team, reporting directly to Mark Edmundson, Sales Manager UK/Ireland. Clarke has worked in the amusement and gaming sector since 1989 for various renowned companies within the industry.

While GVC Holdings has recruited Colin Cole-Johnson in Gaming Product Director role, an industry veteran that started at Ladbrokes in 1995 as a director of gaming, before spending six years with William Hill in Gibraltar. Moreover, the company appointed Gabriele Griesbacher as Director of Payments and Compliance. He previously was Chief Operating Officer for payment provider PXP, after serving there as Managing Director.

Besides, Suzohapp has named Simon James as its new Executive Vice President of Retail & Transportation for Europe-Middle East-Africa (EMEA). Last September, James joined Suzohapp as UK and Ireland Managing Director, and has since made “a very positive impact” on the business. He has over 20 years of experience in the payments industry and the appointment will see him support Suzohapp’s international initiatives in the cashless payments area, which have a heavy retail and transportation focus.

For its part, betting technology supplier Newgioco has chosen industry veteran Kevin Slicker to lead its U.S. sports betting operations and business development plan. In his new position, Slicker will direct the U.S. design and infrastructure of the supplier’s ELYS betting platform and also lead the Newgioco operations team build-out from his base in Oklahoma. He will work directly with developers in Europe to create a unique online and land-based, U.S.-facing sports betting solution for state lottery, casino, route operators and private operators.
