Following the successful path of the 2020’s digital meeting, this 2021 SiGMA Americas virtual forum complemented last year’s approach on the region. If that event let viewers have a clear panorama of regulation at the continental level, this week’s edition delved into topics more related to the latest trends and how companies from the U.S., Canada and Latin America are working to lead these advances in the gaming industry.
First day, September 13th, was fully dedicated to the U.S. and Canada. Top industry analysts discussed topics such as responsible gaming, working with gaming affiliates, brand building in the iGaming space, working with tribal operators, and the new competitive and regulated online gaming market. The show also featured a fully interactive expo hall, with a live chat box where attendees could speak one on one with exhibitors. Some of the panelists were Ali Bartlett (VP of Government Relations, Bose Public Affairs); Elizabeth Lanza (Office of Compulsive and Problem Gambling of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board); Laura Mcallister Cox (CCO at Rush Street Interactive); Samir Bannerjee (Director of Marketing, Online Gaming, Golden Nugget); Nic Sulsky (COO of PointsBet Canada); Rebecca George (Executive Director of Washington Indian Gaming Association); Marcus Yoder (SVP of Sales at GAN), and Dave Roe (COO at Mazooma), among others.
While the second day, September 14th, the conference was focused on gambling developments in Latin America. Main issues addressed by speakers were the impact of federalization and fragmentation in Latin America, the Brazil marketplace, player acquisition, and how 2020 has accelerated a new era of gaming around the region. Relevant executives participated on these sessions, such as Michael Muscat (Partner, iGaming Colombia); Fernando Garita (Head of Business Development, LatAm, Betcris); Hugo Baungartner (COO, RCT Gaming); Dmitry Starostenkov (CEO, EvenBet Gaming), and Alvaro Quiros (Country Manager LatAm, Oddspedia).
Next big event from the SiGMA Group will be SiGMA Europe in Malta. From November 15th to 19th, this Maltese week will include, for the first time, the four leading SiGMA brands together under one roof, for a multi-faceted show focused on gaming, crypto, affiliate marketing, and med-tech.
