This year, WSOP will distribute gold bracelets to 33 poker players together with tens of millions in prizes. Almost all players can test their skills at the WSOP events. The climax of the series will award USD 20 million on August 29th, 2021. But before that, on August 21st, BetKings will have Norman Chad and Lon McEachern, poker’s favorite odd couple, narrating the heads-up championship and later the WSOP 2021 Main Event!
GREAT NUMBERS IN WSOP 2020
Of course, expectations are very high if you remember what happened last year. Is that, in 2020, we saw the largest prize pool awarded in an online poker tournament in history and some fascinating winning hands. There were 5,802 entries to the WSOP 2020 Main Event; the largest prize money of USD 4 million ever awarded at an online poker event; and a total of USD 27.5 million paid out to 728 final seats.
Regarding BetKings, there are also some WSOP highlights from 2020. For instance, over USD 5 million went to BetKings players. Bulgarian player Stoyan Madanzhiev won USD 3,904,686, the largest prize ever awarded in online poker. Moreover, BetKings’ players Ivan Zufic, Gregor Müller, Nicolò Molinelli and Madanzhiev himself took home four WSOP bracelets.
As we have seen, in 2020, the bar was set with record-breaking series, but the organizers are confident that 2021 will take the series even higher.
