How was Neverest born? What are your values and missions?
Neverest was born when my partnerItalo and I were studying the game thesis for a startup accelerator we were working on. After understanding the market’s size and its potential, we decided to go back on doing something that both of us hadalready wanted. Besides that, we both like games a lot and we were childhood players of some that are still relevant today, like Counter-Strike.
Neverest was born to guide gamers to evolve, since the name we chose,we thought about how to deliver this message to them. Neverest means Never, Rest + Everest, We won’t rest until we help you reach your best place in the world.
Our initiatives are supported on a daily basis by the purpose of making gamersunderstand to STOP BELIEVING IN LIMITS and the company’s mission is to support them to LIVE IN THE GAME. Our values bases are: We are Fighters (We fight, we learn, we make mistakes and come back stronger), Fight for All (diversity, inclusion and a better society), Gamer Xperience (turn every sort of contact into something unforgettable) and Fun (if it’s gaming it has to be fun).
What teaching methods do you use on the platform? How does all that work?
We are currently using methods that are more self-service like, where the gamer has access to a library of over 1000 videos to learn how to play better. We also link the championships as a practical part of the journey and connect them with professionals, whether Neverest or other teams, in order to gain experience.
For the next steps we must launch our individual monitoring area.
What is taught in CS:GO is different than what is taught inValorant? Are there differences between them?
Because they are FPS games, much is taught similarly. We have the basics of aiming, moving, grenades/skills and the team part with defensive tactics and dominance.
What are the most far-reaching games?
The most reachable game from platforms today is Free Fire which has the practical parts of the championship, followed by Counter-Strike and Valorant.
How did the pandemic affect you or the players or the work in any way?
We weren’t affected because Neverest didn’t have headquarters, also no product/initiative was developed for the offline universe.
The pandemic affected though the commercial areas due to somecompany’s standing-by and postponement of its budget and consequently the cancellation or postponement of internal projects.
What are the future projects?
Our next steps are focused on improving the current experience for gamers, developing more advanced content and improving the quality of the championships. Still in 2022, we plan to add 2 more games to the platform, embracing two new communities.
We are having conversations with some brands that are interested and aligned with our purpose of mass access and increase the current level of Brazilian Esports scenario. All of this has us very excited about transforming what we have today and, finally, Brazil becoming a great power in most games.
