Last week, in Peru, you attended the G&M News event in Miraflores and had a stand at the PGS fair. What is your balance of SOFTSWISS’ participation? What features would you highlight from your company’s products?
These are our first steps in LatAm. In fact, SOFTSWISS started focusing on this market this year. We found a local representative to work in the region, Jonathan Felix Vilchez, who is our Regional Manager of Business Development in Latin America. To achieve our goals in this continent, we are planning to expand our presence over the next years. We had a great time in both, the G&M News dinner and the Peru Gaming Show, were we met local operators and talk about possible business deals. Regarding our company, if you check on our numbers, you can easily understand why we are one of the biggest global gaming aggregators in the industry. For instance, we have made more than 8 billion bets in Europe. There are 200+ operators that use our game aggregator services. We manage more than 1 million players every month. So we are working with really big data.
How did your company’s interest in LatAm begin? Which services do you provide for this region?
Our initial experience was in December 2021, when I attended BiS event in Brazil to understand that market. After doing some research, I knew the LatAm region was ready for us. Then, we found local representatives in the continent and started working on gaming content suitable for this market. We integrated some game providers in our portfolio which were performing very well in LatAm, including content in Spanish and Portuguese. They knew about cultural aspects of the region, so their games rapidly attracted local players. After that, we launched our 24/7 customer support. Our clients can be sure they’ll receive proper support anywhere, at any time. We are enthusiastic about this response and are intended to grow stronger in Latin America.
Considering decades of online gaming experience in Europe, and comparing this situation with Latin America’s reality, do you believe LatAm operators need more education and training about the iGaming technology your company offers?
LatAm operators are using, indeed, European technology in terms of iGaming. They are ready for this and eager to learn more about our platform. When we speak with local companies and respond to their requests, we provide technical managers for they can work together and fully understand the integration process. We are always ready to support them. Our business processes are very flexible and easy to implement. This kind of approach is giving us some great results.
You’ve been in Brazil and also in Peru, so you are aware of the passion for gambling from LatAm players. This obliges operators to include diverse, attractive content on their platforms. In which way your company can take advantage both of players’ gaming passion and operators’ technical needs?
With SOFTSWISS, they can get access to content from all over the world in one only integration. We have almost 200 different providers in our game aggregator hub. So LatAm players will be able to bet on, for example, European and Asian content. This means a rich mix of cultures through gaming.
For all of we have discussed during this interview, are you optimistic about the future and about your company’s possibilities in Latin America?
Yes, of course. We are a big company, with lots of experience, and we know how to launch businesses in new markets. Moreover, we have been working together and negotiating with regulators in Brazil and Argentina. We are experts in technology, and know what local operators need. After attending last week the Peru Gaming Show in Lima, I’ll be visiting Colombia, Argentina, and end my ‘LatAm tour’ in Brazil. This way I will have a precise and first-hand idea of how to help operators to aggregate content to their platforms and boost their business and income.
