Immortals Gaming Club-owned Brazilian Esports organization MIBR has closed a deal with blockchain company Socios.com to offer an official $MIBR Fan Token to fans. In this sense, MIBR joins entities like Team Vitality, Team Alliance, OG, Natus Vincere, and Team Heretics as Esports partners of Socios.com. It is also the first Brazilian team to be tokenized by the platform.
Now, MIBR fans will receive special content, activations alongside the players, exclusive rewards and the opportunity to attend events in person as guests upon acquiring the $MIBR asset. Fans will also have access to polls that will directly affect decisions taken by the organization. The deal is part of a marketing campaign launched by MIBR in 2022 titled ‘Nossa história, Nosso Futuro’ (‘Our Story, Our Future’), which aims to engage fans.
Founded in 2003 in Rio de Janeiro, MIBR is a leading Esports brand in Brazil, with a fan base of over 220,000 subscribers and 6.4million followers on social media channels. The company is present in all major world Esports competitions and currently holds six teams: CS:GO Male and Female; Valorant Male and Female; Rainbow Six Siege and Free Fire.
The agreement with MIBR comes almost two months after Socios.com signed the Brazilian marketing agency Druid to support its operations in the country regarding fan experiences, including games and hospitality tickets, meet and greets and stadium and training facility visits.
Socios.com is also known in the traditional sports market, being responsible for Fan Tokens of clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Juventus, AC Milan, Atletico Madrid, Manchester City, Inter Milan, and Arsenal, while holding businesses in leagues like the NFL, NHL, NBA, and the MLS.
Roberta Coelho, CEO of MIBR, expressed: “This partnership proves our commitment to bridging the gap between our team and our fans. We are proud to be the first Esports team in Brazil to partner with Socios.com and to show how fans are at the core of a transparent ecosystem which involves MIBR and our decisions. Nothing better to position the fans at the center of the club than through a Fan Token, which will allow them to play an active role in the team’s daily life and to enjoy exclusive experiences.”
As for Alexandre Dreyfus, Founder and CEO of Socios.com, he commented: “We are very excited to welcome MIBR, one of the biggest brands in the gaming ecosystem. This new partnership strengthens our position in Esports, a strategic vertical for us, and our leadership in Brazil and the wider LatAm region. We look forward to working with MIBR’s great team in amazing and innovative initiatives for their fans to engage with and influence the club like never before.”
