Graduated in Business Administration (Fundação Getúlio Vargas, EAESP – FGV) and having also studied Trade Marketing and Innovation and Product Marketing, Bruna Caldas has great interpersonal skills, as well as communication and learning abilities. At 33, she is a young entrepreneur managing schedules, budgets, innovative processes, and monitoring brand performance indicators. She is a leader in developing branding plans and strategies, and also in creating and executing campaigns. In addition, she completed the Digital Marketing Nanodegree Program at Udacity, a U.S. educational organization that offers several online courses.
When she thinks about her work in the industry, she says that, at the time of her migration from the food and beverage sector to gaming, her intention was really to do something new, being able to develop product and digital marketing tasks. Bruna has recently joined Betsson as Digital Marketing Manager, specifically in October 2020, but she already considers herself fully accomplished. “The sector has a unique dynamic and I believe that bringing my marketing perspective has contributed a lot to spread unusual and out-of-the-box ideas in communication,” she comments.
Since the gaming industry was then a complete territory to explore, Bruna was attracted by challenges she had never faced before. She confesses that she loves working in such a big, global company as Betsson, interacting on a daily basis with people from different nationalities around the world, which also results in a very rich cultural background.
WORKING PHILOSOPHY
She likes to be a strong team player and is happy to be working with people. Therefore, she is concerned on having a positive, harmonic environment, not only at Betsson, but with all its clients and partners. “Respect is the key to everything and, more than that, I always seek to create the necessary basis to engage each person and motivate him/her to do their best,” she explains.
When it comes to focusing on the role of women in the industry, she has her say. According to her, women have proven to contribute through diversity as a whole, and this helps the development of any sector. She thinks that, in addition to the growth that the diversification of ideas and points of view can bring, in Brazil, there is also an unexplored potential of the female audience, which makes the representation of women essential to boost the sector’s evolution.
PERSONAL LIFE, HOBBIES AND ASPIRATIONS
Bruna considers herself a self-demanding person, so she tries to set limits and knows that this is fundamental, especially in the home office scenario. “I try to separate my work schedule from my personal schedule as much as possible,” she admits.
Completely in love with music, Caldas often says that she lives her life from song to song. When she was 16, she even played guitar and had a band, but now recognizes that it’s just a hobby.
Regarding her aspirations for her future in the next five years, both personally and professionally, she announces that her goal is to build a success story at Betsson in Brazil. On a personal level, she wants to travel a lot, get to know and even live in new places! “These two years of pandemic really made me miss the whole adventure,” she concludes.
