There is no doubt that Argentina has come a long way in terms of online gaming, with 17 of 24 jurisdictions with this regulated activity, with the City of Buenos Aires, the Province of Buenos Aires and Cordoba being some of the newest, and Misiones one of the oldest in that sense. In parallel, countries such as Chile, Peru and Brazil have been considering projects to fully legalize this modality, while Uruguay is analyzing expanding the number of operators and Paraguay is working to adjust its market and provide more investment possibilities.
At the same time, land-based casinos continue to increase the number of attendees who return to the rooms in a normalized situation after the long lockdown due to the pandemic. Enthusiasm was not lost, but enhanced. With the economies of the region also in the process of recovery, it is clear that Latin America is experiencing political-economic renewal. According to Statista, the total population of LatAm and the Caribbean reaches 640 million inhabitants in 2022, and will rise to 675 million in 2027. For the World Bank, the average age of the population in this region is 31 years compared to the 43.9 years of the citizens of Europe.
All these indicators reflect the potential for progress in LatAm and the vast business opportunities for the gaming industry, with people increasingly passionate about omnichannel proposals and options such as Esports, virtual games and daily fantasy sports, in addition to slots and table games of the brick and mortar properties. These and other topics will be discussed at the G&M News Mercosur Summit, to be held on August 31st and September 1st at City Center Iguazu (Puerto Iguazu, Province of Misiones, Argentina).
BENEFITS FOR SUPPLIERS
The event will bring together more than 75 industry representatives, mainly land-based gaming and iGaming operators from Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay and other LatAm countries. For suppliers, this is an unbeatable chance to present their products and solutions directly to these operators, in a relaxed environment, for the exchange of ideas and networking, with enough time and space to close deals in person.
On the first day (August 31st), there will be talks between speakers and attendees, in which the real context of gaming in LatAm countries will be analyzed, and experiences will be shared in order to enhance the activity of each company. The closing of this day will be with an invitation-only dinner in Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil). Meanwhile, the second day (September 1st) will include an unforgettable visit to the Iguazu Falls on the Argentinian side.
The options for suppliers include Gold and Silver Sponsorships, with benefits such as databases of the attending operators, physical and digital banners, games, raffles and prizes during product demonstrations, videos and articles to be disseminated by the G&M News content multiplatform, presence of various executives and guests of a company and so much more.
