Cared about, respected, and listened to by the entire gaming industry alike, Korbi Carrison hardly needs an introduction. Or maybe she does, if, for the first time, we delve into her life story to accompany her on her personal and professional evolution. Present times find her with a really busy life, in which she enjoys her family: her husband, two beautiful kids, and a dog, and her hobbies: her passion for fitness and marketing.
From her origins at Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, through her childhood, the values transmitted to her by her parents, her academic formation, her beginnings in gaming, and from then on, with study, work and effort, this woman -member of the Global Gaming Women organization- has deservedly earned a leadership role at the sector.
Of course, her journey has been long and successful. Starting at 1998, she has accumulated an extensive 23-year career, working in the marketing and sales areas of the gaming business. She was employed at supplier firms of the sector, and also developed skills in communication, relationship with people, coordination of plans and design of strategies. In 2018, she entered global event organizer company Reed Exhibitions (RX). From the beginning, as Event Director, overseeing all aspects of the G2E brand in Las Vegas, she demonstrated intelligence, management abilities, an amazing handling of her team and the virtue of being able to even improve a show that is already a registered gaming brand for the world.
Even in the difficult last two years, Korbi was close to all the stakeholders of the industry to listen and help them with their demands. Today, in these recovery times, the sector is hopeful in resuming its growth levels prior to the pandemic, and this positive spirit will undoubtedly be reflected from next October 4th on, when the 2021 Global Gaming Expo edition begins, in hybrid version (face-to-face and online).

For us as press members, for the entire industry, it will be a pleasure to meet her again in person to continue learning from her, seeing her always attentive in multitasking mode, solving the needs of exhibitors, the press and visitors, leading her work team and demonstrating why the excellent conjunction between Reed Exhibitions and the American Gaming Association (AGA) has been key to consolidate and offer one of the best trade-shows the global gaming business can ever enjoy.
Here we share a few excerpts of this wonderful conversation:
ABOUT HER STARTING AT THE GAMING INDUSTRY
“At first, I wasn’t really interested in working in the gaming industry. I didn’t have any exposure on what would be like working in a casino. Then, I realized there’s a whole world of people who serve that industry at vendors. For me, that was a pretty exciting sector to be in. It allowed me to bringing that entertainment option to some people that so passionately love it. I could be at home on weekends, and it also let me travel to know executives from all around the world, which I really loved.”
ABOUT HER EXPECTATIONS ON NEXT G2E LAS VEGAS EVENT
“What we can see from the people who have registered to the G2E show is that the executives coming to Vegas are gaming leaders. They are traveling here to make deals, be a part of deep business discussions. We are expecting a lot of reconnection, a lot of excitement on the expo hall floor and true business to be done.”
ABOUT HOW THE PRESENCE OF EXECUTIVE WOMEN HAS BEEN INCREASING WITHIN THE SECTOR
“There’s a great opportunity for women to come together and to lean on each other in a mentorship manner. Our industry is made up about half of women. At the C-level, maybe there’s not an equal balance between men and women, but I think we will see a change in that proportion. Bringing women together, with organizations such as Global Gaming Women, and sharing experiences is a wonderful way to inspiring women and supporting each other.”
