Prominent European global slot supplier Wazdan has received its Manufacturer A1 Suitability license from the Hellenic Gaming Commission (HGC). The accreditation will see many of the supplier’s top-performing products hit the Greek market, headlined by Hold the Jackpot titles, the exciting Power of Gods series, including Power of Gods: the Pantheon, and top-performing titles 9 Lions and Larry the Leprechaun.
Greek market’s new online gaming regulation kicked in on August 1st, and providers are racing to access this territory for increasing their businesses. In October 2020, the Hellenic Gaming Commission opened the licensing process in Greece after the local parliament passed a new gambling reform bill in 2019. The online gambling reforms were part of a wider package, called ‘Invest in Greece’, that included legislation intended to streamline environmental and planning regulations.
In this sense, Wazdan continues to expand its collection of regulated markets, with Greece following New Jersey and Belarus as new market entries in recent months. Besides, on September 8th, Wazdan will release another Greek-themed hit, Power of Gods: Hades.
About this news, Andrzej Hyla, Head of Sales, Wazdan, stated: “We are delighted to receive our Greek license, as we continue to focus on our expansion in regulated markets. We’re very proud to receive our 16th independent market certification, and we are eager to see how our games are being received in this exciting market.”
