The Executive Development Program (EDP) is the first and only program of its kind: a 9-day best-in-class professional development opportunity (from November 4th to 13th) for the industry’s future C-suite executives. Now in its 32nd year of offering an exceptional educational experience, the program has graduated more than 1,600 executives from global gaming companies and regulatory agencies.
Entitled Elevating Leaders in the Gaming Industry, it gathers an exclusive group of executives at Hyatt Regency in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, USA, the course is organized by the University of Nevada in Las Vegas and the College of Business and Extended Studies of the University of Nevada in Reno.
EDP combines classroom learning from the world’s top executives and academics with hands-on functionality to create lifelong connections and offer valuable insights. Applications are available until October 14th.
Designed for those whose roles are to think strategically about product, attractions, casino environment, employee development, community relations, partnerships and exceptional customer service, the EDP is generally attended by executives and senior managers in positions of substantial responsibility; owners, board members and other leaders active in strategic planning for gaming organizations; Government regulators, and other interested businessmen/women.
PROGRAM FORMAT, MAIN ISSUES AND MODERATORS
In a series of stimulating and demanding class sessions, participants will be taught about relevant subjects such as sustaining competitive advantage, responding to political uncertainties, managing organizational change, developing strategic alliances and adapting to the rules of a new playing field in the continually evolving gaming industry. They will establish lasting professional relationships that will be valuable to them and critical to their companies.
Participation in teams and case-study analysis is an integral part of the program and is required of all participants, who must be fluent in English. The program considers this daily interaction among faculty and participants as crucial to its success and vital to the overall experience.
